The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
