🔗 Share this article Hulu to Bring a Popular Game TV Series from the Creators of Alien: Earth and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The most recent Far Cry title that players dived into was Far Cry 6, that starred Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and came out back in October 6, 2021. Throughout the franchise, it has a reputation for delighting in action and madness with equal excitement, all while telling engaging, ideologically themed stories. Little surprise that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry anthology series brought on board two visionaries whose creations have represented all of those things. About the Series Adapted from Ubisoft's hit video game series, the short-run anthology series will be available on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also mirror the video games' format by having a different setting and ensemble in subsequent series. Creative Minds Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as executive producers on the series via their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. We’ve shared excellent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is original, gripping, and wildly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our associates at Ubisoft for trusting us with this beloved property.” Cast and Future Plans Mac will also appear in the show, but currently, we have no details on what part that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just greenlit for another season, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new long-term contract with the producer. “Having the opportunity with Noah Hawley is a fantasy come true,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been incredibly accommodating, entrusting us with one of the most famous video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX partners always encourages me with their constant trust and support.” “What appeals to me about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an anthology-style program. Every instalment is a interpretation of a idea, the same way every series of Fargo is a variation on a story,” explained Hawley. “To produce a epic action show that can evolve from one instalment to the next, while always examining the essence of society through this multifaceted and chaotic viewpoint, is a ultimate goal. I’m thrilled to work with Rob and present our shared bold, daring sensibility to the television.” A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not yet been revealed. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
