Looking Ahead Jones insisted that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added. Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.” On-Field Response Liverpool's form have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy.
