The Toronto Blue Jays earned a spot in their first Fall Classic after 1993 by beating the Mariners in the decisive game seven of the AL Championship Series.

Down three runs to one, the star outfielder hit a three-run homer in the seventh frame, guiding the sole Canadian team in MLB to a 4-3 win in the seven-game series. Next up are the defending champions, the team that is the current crown, in the anticipated Fall Classic.

"It's incredible for everyone here, Toronto, our country," commented Springer, an integral part of the Astros team that won the 2017 World Series. "What an unbelievable moment."

Springer has now hit 23 total post-season home runs, making him third all-time after Ramirez (twenty-nine) and Altuve (27).

"There's probably not anyone else on planet Earth that I'd prefer in that moment except for George Springer with his October magic," noted Schneider.

Seattle's team, who had led the series two games to none and three games to two, remain the sole team that has never reached in a Fall Classic.

Wilson stated "without a doubt that it hurts" in the wake of his side's defeat at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but applauded their performance in the campaign.

"It's a special team. Unfortunately that we ended up on the unsuccessful side of this game," he added.

The Blue Jays secured the championship on both previous visits in 1992 and 1993, and will host the Dodgers in game one on this Friday.
