Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with similar services. It has advised users to check their listings and manually change the size when needed, which has left users frustrated. Measurement Approach Changes Previously, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Experiences A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as size 20–22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated. Manual Updates Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
